The Enforcer CD – ALEPH 038
$14.98
DESCRIPTION: When the iconic Harry Callahan donned his weathered sport coat for a third adventure in 1976, saving the good people of San Francisco from a gaggle of revolutionary psychopaths, he was accompanied for the first time by the music of Jerry Fielding. The only one of the five “Dirty Harry” films not scored by Lalo Schifrin (who was unavailable for this assignment), THE ENFORCER snaps and crackles to the snazzy dazzle of Fielding’s syncopated dissonance. Best known for his collaborations with Sam Peckinpah and the British director Michael Winner, Fielding had been laboring in the doldrums of uninspired projects, and the chance of providing sounds for a hip Clint Eastwood vehicle fired him with enthusiasm. The only one of the five DIRTY HARRY films not scored by Lalo Schifrin (who was unavailable for this assignment), THE ENFORCER by Jerry Fielding is the third release in the series behind DIRTY HARRY and MAGNUM FORCE. This entire original score for THE ENFORCER has never been released, only excerpts from the score appeared on the original soundtrack LP.
